ABOUT ME
Catherine Rose, Katie Rose, Rosie...it's hard to believe I wear even more hats than I have names. Between online journalism, breaking news reporting, public speaking, film appearances, and on-air radio talent and video production, I am a highly skilled and diversified multimedia journalist and an effective communicator, energized and ready to go!

I have professional experience in journalism and digital media, inspired by my digging my hands into various facets of the field in college. In July 2019, the Radio Advertising Bureau granted me certification as a Radio Marketing Professional. I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in Media & Journalism in May 2022 from Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania. Weaving my passions for storytelling and accurate, ethical reporting into a career in investigative journalism or political reporting is my ultimate goal.

Currently, I work the morning shift at WNEP-TV in Scranton, Pa. as an assignment editor. In this role, I search far and wide for leads and gather story ideas for our reporters. I also upload and update web content for the station and I line-produce "Newswatch 16 Saturday Morning" and "Newswatch 16 Sunday Morning" and other newscasts as needed!
